Welcome to Valheim Map World the (unofficial) Valheim world generator! This generator can help you decide on a good seed, or give you a hint on where that pesky trader is.
There are just a few key things to keep in mind.
- Any world created before The Bog Witch (10/29/2024) will need to be uploaded (via the desktop site) to get accurate locations. For more details see the info below.
- Xbox worlds won't have perfect location estimation. The Xbox devs have been working on improving the accuracy of the Xbox game, but for now there may be some inconsistency in locations on Xbox. The older the save the likely the higher the inconsistency.
How do I use this?
Enter a seed in the seed text box. Just like the game a seed is any 10 digits: A-Za-z0-9. Select the game version you created your world in (or leave it if you're creating a new one!). Click Go! to see what the world will look like.
- You can pan with one or two fingers, zoom by pinching
- Use the layers button (right side) to switch between Terrain, Biomes-only, and No-Terrain. No-Terrain is great if you just want a hint without being spoiled.
- Use the locations button (right side) to enable/disable various points of interest such as bosses, the trader, crypts, and more!
- You can click the gear (top right) to change map quality, adjust colors, make icons bigger, etc.
- You can click the download icon (top right) to download the whole map as an image
Help this doesn't work on my phone

Why are seeds before The Bog Witch (10/29/2024) shown wrong?
That version is a location "breaking" version. The devs mark versions of the game as "breaking" versions when they add new locations. When you open you world with the new game version, any location you haven't visited is reshuffled (with the new locations added in). This is unpredictable so I can't show it on my map.
If you want to know where your locations are on your game try the upload button on my desktop site. Yes, there is a way for this to work for Xbox players too.
Why does the desktop client have more features?
Mobile support is more-or-less a complete reimplementation of the site to fully support a wide range of devices. I'm intending to improve support in the future, but desktop will almost always have more features due to unity's limited mobile webgl support.
